This river scene is off the main road leading north from Boise. It was a beautiful October day and I pulled off the road to look at the river with the clear water, which is at the lowest level in the late fall season. The scene demanded a painting, which I just completed. I loved the warm colors of the sand on the river bottom and how the rocks were visible under the water.
